Have your say

"At first the thought of living on my own sounded a bit scary. There was some mixed feelings. I was happy that I won't have anyone telling me what to do, what time to come home or where I was going. But on the other hand I won't have anyone to cook for me and I would have to do everything for myself. Some of my wages would have to go towards rent and bills, which is not very nice. When I actually got my flat I was really pleased although it needed alot work and the the allowance I got from social services just didn't stretch enough. It does take awhile to settle in especially having to sort out housing benefit and council tax. I really glad that I live independently, I definately would NOT go back. I think you should grab the opportunity to have your place, most people our age would do anything to live independently".
