Together with 10 other Local Authorities, Merton is piloting this initiative on behalf of the Government.  The idea is to ensure that the process of leavign care is genuinely responsive to your needs and that you only leave care when you are ready and properly prepared and supported. 

20 Young people qualified for the pilot when it started in November 2007.  They were all aged between 16 and 18 when the Pilot started and had to reach their 18th birthday before the pilot ends in July 2010.
