Education in the spot light

Did you know that last year 35 per cent of Merton's looked after children achieved GCSE grades A-C while the national average was just 9 per cent?  That's a massive 26 percent above the average for the rest of the Country.

So what is helping to make Merton's looked after children so successful?  Well there are lots of reasons! Five years ago, Merton introduced some initiatives to help encourage and support it's looked after children in school.   So what are they?

One thing is for sure - Merton can only support it's young people in their education, it is your hard work which gets the results and Merton would like to say a big WELL DONE to all those who sat exams this year.
