Support for Nursery/Year 1

Merton Children's Centre Service
There are 11 children's centres in Merton which provide borough-wide services for all families with children under 5. The centres offer child and family health services and there are fun activities and events running at each one every week, such as play and stay sessions, drama, music, arts and crafts and games. 

Merton Library Service
In Merton’s 8 libraries, you will find a wide of range of books including board books, picture books, storybooks, talking books, dual language books and more for younger children. The libraries can also help you to apply for a free Bookstart Pack.

Many fun children’s events take place in Merton’s libraries, including story time, rhyme time, musical mayhem and craft sessions.

Merton Early Years, Childcare and Children’s Centres Service
As well as the children’s centres service, the team offers funded childcare places for 2 year olds, funded early learning and childcare places for all 3 and 4 year olds, offers information, advice and guidance for families, family support and help with getting back into employment or training.
