Can I return home?

When you are no longer in the care of Social Services, you can return to live with your parents or other family members if you wish and by agreement with them. You will need to think very carefully about this and prepare for it very carefully. It is worth talking to your social worker, your carer, or an adult who has supported you, before making this decision. Sometimes it is not always the best idea to move back in with your family, as things may not go as well as you would like.

If things go badly, and you are entitled to leaving care support, you can always come back to the 16+ team and ask for help. (The level of assistance you will receive will depend on the lenght of time you have been back home). It is important to keep in touch with your social worker in case this happens.
