Taking Part

Young people with care experience have a lot of knowledge & skills, the Listening to Children Officer will always explore how you can contribute to the consultation & participation process.

You might want to assist on the production of the Newsletters for young people who are looked after, help to plan events that are being organised for other young people or even take part in supplying training for Social Workers, Councillors, Carers & Managers.

For the past three years a number of young people looked after and leaving care in Merton have taken part in national events across the country, if you would like to hear more about these then give us a call.

You might even want to be a take part in interviewing new staff.

The Listening to Children Officer holds regular forum meetings with young people so that we can find out what you think about the way Social Services do things. If you would like to come to one of these meetings or find out what you can take part in, give us a call and they'll will be happy have a chat with you.

If you'd like to find out more, then give us a call, send us a text, or drop us an email.
